A live music event is like no other show in the world. Lot's of people, fun, drinks, and a great night. It's awesome to see just one band, but even better when there is more than one band or artist playing. Everyone likes a different type of music and while you'd hope your friends and family will like the same type of music, you shouldn't force people to go to a show. All you need to get is your concert ticket! So with that out of the way...
If you want to see a whole plethora of bands you need to look for festival weekends. These usually run from a Friday to Sunday, and you could have upwards of 30-40 artists show up to play. That is an awesome bang for the buck, so it's highly encouraged that you attend at least one in your life. There are also times when you may have to travel to attend a live show, especially if you live in a part of the country where bands just don't seem to visit. For example, those wanting to attend concerts in Phoenix, you may find that some bands don't travel here and skip over to California. It's not a long drive to make and for many who are life-long fans, they'll make the trip without thinking twice.
Lastly and most importantly, it's a way to support the band as record sales become less from their CDs/digital music. There are some who have no problem downloading music off of the web, but it's not fair to the musicians who have put a lot of work into their craft. A $25 concert ticket may not seem like you are doing much to help a band, but if they sell 5000 seats, it can add up on a tour. I hope that this has given you all some reasons to consider going to a live show and having an absolutely awesome time. Live everyday with an appreciation, do the best that you can, and listen to music along the way.
